Just added a new animal to my shop, a sweet Narwhal! What a cutie! I have a deep love for whales and these guys have such an interesting history due to that big incisor sticking out of their jaw. I can't believe it has taken me so long to put one on a wallet! I might make a few where the whale is bigger. I have started adding little change pouches to my wallets, which is very convenient, can't believe I am just now adding those too :)

Contemplating...a craft fair

So, I am finishing up with school in May (BFA in Illustration) and I plan to focus a bit more on Trelabela. Adding Ipod covers, laptop covers, tote bags, all with my designs on them. I also am contemplating taking part in the Renegade craft fair this year in San Francisco! But am quite petrified of this. Anyone have any experience with this? If you haven't been before I highly recommend it! So many talented people, all together under one roof. I went over the holiday season and it was lovely. It is happening July 31st-August 1st this year. Check out the link:

Am I totally crazy for loving this fabric? I think it is so awesome, love the colors and the weave print. Looks like he is wearing a little headband :)

I have been obsessed with this gold foil fabric. So awesome. I lined the inside of the wallet so when you open you are blinded by the bright gold reflection :)

Plaid Koala Wallet. Another first. Koala's are so cute I am not sure why I haven't made a wallet with one before. I am thinking of doing continent series. Next would be a Kangaroo....Tasmanian devil...ect.

Lots of people have been asking for a bigger more functional wallet. So here is my first prototype. It has a zipper pocket, 2 huge slots, 3 card slots and even a clasp to hold it all together and of course a sweet bird on the front with reversed applique per usual with all my wallets.

Well, good things can't last forever right? This will be my last batch of wallets for a while. School just started and I already have homework. My last year so really have to work hard. It was fun while it lasted. Just finished this batch over the weekend for a boutique called Given in the Castro district of San Francisco. Oh how time does fly! I have been busy with custom orders lately and haven't had time to post my newest stuff. Currently making some really cute Dachshund wallets, these are completely lined with fabric so are a bit different than my other wallets. They also are bigger so you don't have to origami fold your dollar bills to fit :) Further down are all my wallets I have made and posted in my etsy shop, I will just post the front faces of these not all the photos from every angle. Enjoy!

It was a crazy experience doing a tiger wallet but that is what she asked for so I tried and tried until I got it right. It came out really cool, these pictures do it no justice. I like science a lot, especially biology. I was playing around with mixing animals up. This came out darker then I wanted (think it is that red thread I used) I actually meant it to be funny. If you can't tell it is an anatomical study of a bunny mixed with a fish. I am happy how it came out technically though, it was pretty hard to get all those details. Again, that black vinyl is like butter.
